- Job Title: Resident Engineer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the Automotive sector.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
- Experience with OEM systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of electromechanical components, including diagnostics, CANoe, and CAD.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid understanding of quality systems and problem-solving methodologies.
- Capability to build and maintain relationships.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, including international locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the DRE to initiate, approve, track, and document Engineering Work Orders (ECRs).
- Participate in all Product Development Team Meetings (PDT).
- Initiate, track, and document Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
- Secure necessary approvals (ADVP&R, 5Phase, TALC, AAR).
- Review schematics and assist in the creation of Drawing/Math Data (ICD).
- Support warranty analysis and tracking efforts.
- Provide assistance for A/B Samples and various pilot builds.
- Conduct component and system testing support.
- Attend design reviews and relevant meetings as required.
- Engage in design staff meetings to guide new product developments.
- Establish connections with local Tier 1 customers to facilitate project needs.
- Contribute to new business opportunities through client interactions.
