    POSITION OVERVIEW: This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and effective preventative maintenance and repair of the fluid bed dryer, granulation/milling systems, and shipping systems within the facility. Additionally, this position supports and/or leads the preventative maintenance, lubrication, and repair tasks for mobile equipment used in the quarry and plant operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Maintenance:
    • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
    • Conduct visual inspections of all operational equipment in the plant and quarry.
    • Perform all preventative maintenance tasks related to process equipment, including greasing, oiling, and filter maintenance.
    • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in both process and mobile equipment.
    • Utilize a service truck equipped with a crane for component replacements on malfunctioning equipment.
    • Execute mechanical tasks using hand and air-powered tools.
    Reporting:
    • Complete workplace examinations and pre-shift inspections, documenting any safety or equipment concerns.
    • Generate necessary documentation as per the quality management system.
    • Communicate any defects to the supervisor.
    • Complete Safe Quality Food inspection reports as required.
    Safety:
    • Participate in scheduled safety meetings.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Encourage safety practices among colleagues.
    • Engage in the Behavior-Based Safety program.
    Backup Responsibilities:
    • Provide support for any qualified position as directed by the supervisor.
    • Be available to assist any qualified team member as assigned.
    • Comply with Safe Quality Food certification requirements and perform other duties as assigned.

    • Physical Capability: Must be able to perform essential job functions.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to perform assigned tasks physically.
    • Capability to access all areas of the plant.
    • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and navigating ladders or stairs.
    • Exposure to various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, noise, and dust.
    • Ability to lift over 50 pounds as necessary.
    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
    • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
