Job Title: Youth Climbing Team Coach

At Movement, we're passionate about transforming lives through climbing, yoga, and fitness. We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Climbing Coach to join our team and help us achieve our mission.

Job Summary:

The Youth Climbing Team Coach will be responsible for delivering practice content to our youth climbing teams and crafting a transformative experience for all levels of youth athletes. This role requires a strong passion for working with youth and developing young climbing athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of youth athletes and ensure team activities promote our core values and a sense of belonging.
  • Work with the Head Coach and Team Coach Supervisors to plan and execute programming that results in transformative experiences for youth athletes.
  • Coach at practices and competitions as needed, based on athlete attendance.
  • Provide supervision for youth climbers who will be bouldering and belaying.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including monitoring team rosters, tracking belay training, and communicating with parents.
  • Effectively communicate any issues or concerns with coaching staff and the management team.
Requirements:
  • Embody Movement's core values and desired culture of our youth team.
  • Passion for working with youth and developing young climbing athletes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in climbing instruction commensurate with the team level being coached.
What We Offer:
  • Part-time, non-exempt position with gym membership, gear discounts, guest passes, and other benefits available to Movement employees.
  • Starting pay is $13 with room for flexibility depending on experience.
