**Job Title:** GIS Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled GIS Data Analyst to join our team at Saint Mary's University. As a key member of our GeoSpatial Services department, you will be responsible for supporting various spatial data development and resource assessment projects.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of technical teams to undertake ArcGIS-based wetland delineation and classification
  • Providing quality assurance and quality control for student workers engaged in spatial data development
  • Supporting GIS-based modeling and analysis in both raster and vector formats
  • Contributing to the research and writing of complex natural resource assessment documents
  • Working with digital remote sensing images to develop ArcGIS spatial databases of classified natural features, land cover, and land use activities

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, natural resources, environmental science, geography, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in spatial data development for natural resource management applications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in spatial data development projects using ArcGIS and related tools, scientific research and report writing, and working in a team environment

The selected candidate will have an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $56,250 per annum based on the market standards and location.
