Position Summary


The Culinary Service Aide plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food services. Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving meals, restocking food supplies, cleaning equipment, and processing payments through a computerized register. Adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines is essential.

This role requires delivering excellent customer service and effective communication with both patrons and colleagues. The ability to foster positive working relationships is crucial.

Quality control standards must be upheld at all times.

Tasks may involve operating various kitchen equipment, including grills, beverage dispensers, toasters, ice cream machines, cash registers, steamers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Independence in work tasks is necessary when required. A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols is essential. The role demands the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and navigate significant distances.

Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and food service is advantageous. Candidates should possess the ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions, along with basic math skills. On-the-job training will be provided.

Depending on the hiring location, obtaining Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
