Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Martial Arts Instructor to join our team at Premier Martial Arts Bloomfield. As a Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-energy martial arts instruction to children and adults, while also serving as a role model and character educator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead martial arts classes for children and adults, focusing on character development and technical skill-building
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and their families
  • Recruit and retain new students, promoting the value of martial arts training
  • Oversee student ranking, tracking, and reporting, as well as belt tests and graduations
  • Conduct group and private instruction sessions, adapting to the needs of individual students
  • Assist in the management of the school, including class schedules, sanitation, and supplies
  • Represent Premier Martial Arts Bloomfield at recruitment, marketing, and community events
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance instructional skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in martial arts instruction, with a black belt or equivalent certification
  • Proven track record of teaching and coaching children and adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to convey the value and benefits of martial arts training to students and their families
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
