We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing team in La Porte, Indiana. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, with experience in supervising a team and managing production schedules. They will be able to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize production processes.
The Operations Manager will also be responsible for managing budgets, forecasting production capacity, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will work closely with the production team to identify and resolve issues, and will be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Manage production schedules, including forecasting and capacity planning
- Manage budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Identify and resolve issues, working closely with the production team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or Management
- 7 years' experience in a supervisory position
- 10 years' experience in manufacturing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and total quality practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years' experience in manufacturing and/or operations management
- 7 years' experience in the aerospace industry
- Six Sigma certification
