Job Description:

As a banquet supervisor at L.A. Jackson, you will serve as the liaison between clients, event managers, chefs, servers, and attendants. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the setup and breakdown of private events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage banquet staff to deliver exceptional service
  • Coordinate with event managers to understand client needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with chefs and servers to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service
  • Monitor and control event budgets to ensure profitability
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve event execution and guest satisfaction

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to work 40-50 hours per week, including early mornings and evenings
  • Previous management experience in private events, high-volume restaurants, or fine dining establishments
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands:

  • Ability to maneuver throughout the restaurant and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to operate restaurant equipment and machines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment and respond to visual and aural cues
