About the Role

Spartronics is seeking a skilled Electronic Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Electronic Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive operations in a flexible manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures, or methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical operations or assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging equipment, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rules).
  • Solder in accordance with J-STD-001 and IPC-620 or be trained to do so.
  • Responsible for daily clean-up of all assigned work areas and practice Good Housekeeping skills.
  • Use computer skills with applicable MS office programs and other software.
  • Assemble and/or repair printed wiring assemblies (PWA), subassemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications.
  • Deploy sound inventory control methods and procedures, including allocating materials to work orders, incoming inspection assistance, and issuing inventory in MRP if applicable.
  • Handle, mix and test hazardous chemicals while using PPE.
  • Perform basic duties as required to meet production needs and be flexible to OT or a flex schedule.
  • Work in a team environment and ensure the safety & wellbeing of all employees and visitors to the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental & regulations, operating & work instructions, policies and rules in place and report any possible violations to Management immediately.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals using direct reading, gauges, rulers, and scales.
  • Must be quality conscious and have a good work ethic.
  • Must maintain ESD Precautions Standards certification in areas/facilities where required (training provided by employer).
  • May be required to lift or exert up to 55 pounds as required by the job task.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, wire diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • ITAR Regulations require all candidates be a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
