Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Systems Integration Engineer to join our team at SOSi. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in the development of ground command and control architectures, providing expert advice on technical approaches, and ensuring the successful integration of ground systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ground Systems Design and Integration: Support the customer in the oversight of the design, integration, and test of spacecraft command and control systems, ensuring that all requirements are met and that the system is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Requirements Analysis and Engineering: Review and assess the adequacy of ground systems specifications, RADs, RVPs, ICDs, RVRs, and system-level requirements documentation, ensuring that all requirements are accurately captured and that the system meets the customer's needs.
  • System Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing and validation of ground systems, ensuring that all internal and external interfaces are properly validated and that the system meets the customer's requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Develop and maintain productive relationships with prime contractor counterparts and functional counterparts, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an applicable technical field, such as engineering or computer science.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in ground systems engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in government space acquisition.
  • Clearance: In-scope TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
  • Skills: Recognized expert in satellite ground systems engineering, with extensive knowledge of acquisition lifecycle requirements and experience providing risk assessments and risk management recommendations to program managers.
