Job Description

Walmart Specialty Pharmacy is a unique business unit within Walmart, specializing in the delivery of low/limited distributed pharmaceuticals to patients across the United States and Puerto Rico. Unlike traditional retail pharmacies, our team manages and distributes life-sustaining medicines to patients with complex illnesses. We are primarily a patient contact center, but also operate a fully functional pharmacy with a team of pharmacy professionals. While we are not patient-facing, we are deeply engaged with our customers, patients, and medical practitioners nationwide.

We are seeking Pharmacy Technicians for our Orlando, Florida location. To be eligible, candidates must meet state requirements, including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure as required by the State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain pharmacy systems and technology by preparing records and reports to ensure accurate data and system compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates for pharmaceuticals, calibrate machines, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Sort, place, and store freight in appropriate locations, restock and replenish medication, and report low stock levels.
  • Support facility operations by entering and modifying pharmaceutical data, processing paperwork, and creating documentation.
  • Promote the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting pharmacists, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ensure prescription fulfillment in an automated central fill pharmacy, maintaining a continuous workflow to meet daily production and quality goals.
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by utilizing automated inventory control systems and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure as required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
