Position Overview
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary adjunct faculty position in Spanish. This role involves teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, and assessing student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Teaching courses across all levels in Spanish, including conversational Spanish, elementary Spanish, and Spanish for native speakers.
  2. Developing and implementing effective lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse students.
  3. Assessing student learning outcomes and providing feedback to students.
  4. Staying current with developments in the field of Spanish and linguistics.
  5. Participating in faculty governance and contributing to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a master's degree in Spanish or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a master's degree in another language or linguistics. The successful candidate will also have an equity-minded focus and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
