Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technician to join our team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. As a CT Technician, you will be responsible for preparing patients, collecting relevant information, and performing CT procedures with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for CT procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collect relevant information for completion of procedures, including medical history and patient demographics.
  • Perform CT procedures, utilizing advanced imaging technology to produce high-quality images.
  • Observe patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the radiologist or physician.
  • Practice and enforce radiation safety protocols, adhering to federal standards and ALARA policy.
  • Assist in maintaining accreditation and adhering to hospital and regulatory policies.
  • Operate electronic information systems, compiling records and expediting results.
  • Administer contrast media as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in continuing education activities to expand knowledge of CT and meet ARRT continuing education requirements.
  • Take call after regular hours as assigned, maintaining a high level of professionalism and dedication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Experience in Radiologic Technology, with a preference for one year dedicated CT experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, with a preference for successful completion of formal computer courses.
  • ARRT registered, with CT Registry within six months of employment.
  • BLS within 90 days of employment.
