Job Overview

As a key member of our team, the Universal Banking Supervisor serves as a comprehensive point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery to both new and existing customers. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including supervising operations, assisting with customer transactions, and leading branch initiatives aimed at enhancing client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by engaging with clients in a professional and approachable manner, promptly addressing any service-related concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about the diverse range of products and services offered, ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of branch management, overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Utilize sound judgment to approve or override transactions, minimizing risk and safeguarding the interests of both the bank and its customers.
  • Facilitate the training and development of new staff members, ensuring adherence to customer service standards and operational procedures.
  • Provide guidance to customer-facing staff in resolving complex issues, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Assist in the resolution of customer concerns, escalating matters to appropriate channels when necessary to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Manage the opening and closing of the banking facility, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and maintaining security protocols.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer relationships by engaging in meaningful discussions to understand their needs and recommending suitable banking solutions.
  • Ensure the banking area is well-organized and adequately supplied, maintaining a professional environment for clients.
  • Communicate essential disclosures and regulations to customers during account openings, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records for new accounts and perform necessary follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and security policies to protect both client and bank assets.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support branch operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail banking, with a focus on customer service roles.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in banking operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking operations, including risk management and compliance, is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong customer relationships and provide exceptional service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address customer inquiries effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
