Controller Assistant - Financial Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Controller and CFO in presenting financial statements, supervise accounting, accounts payable, and payroll personnel, and manage daily operations of the accounting department.
  2. Search for opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency within the organization.
  3. Supervise accountants, accounts payable, and payroll personnel, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  4. Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with California and Federal Wage and Hour laws, and coordinate with Human Resources and Information Systems departments.
  5. Oversee annual independent audits, assigning responsibilities to accounting staff and preparing year-end audit schedules.
  6. Maintain the Lawson computer system, ensuring system procedures are followed and implementing software revisions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting management experience, with previous hospital experience highly preferred.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise required for this role.
