Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Aide to join our team at Tri-City Healthcare District. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our perioperative department, ensuring a smooth transition of patients and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to, from, and within assigned departments, ensuring safe and age-appropriate care.
  • Assist with patient care in the perioperative or other department setting.
  • Transport supplies, equipment, specimens, paperwork, and other items as requested.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment, including unit-based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Efficiently perform assigned cleaning duties in assigned areas, following safety and infection control guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Experience in patient safety and body mechanics measures is preferred.
  • Heavy lifting may be required.
  • Read, write, and speak English is required.
  • Must be able to lift and transport patients greater than 100 pounds over uneven surfaces.

Education and Certification:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Current BLS certification is required upon hire.
