About the Role

Powers Health is seeking a skilled Cancer Registry Specialist to join our team. As a Cancer Registry Specialist, you will play a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting cancer data to support our cancer research efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze cancer data from various sources, including physician reports and medical records.
  • Review and interpret cancer data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assemble and disseminate cancer data to support research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to track cancer data.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for, or certification as a Registered Health Information Technician, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Knowledge of patient care methodology, including data collection, interpretation, and display techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of personal computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
