Overview:

Outpatient Imaging Affiliates is in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills to become a vital member of our patient-centered team. If you are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and enjoy engaging with individuals, consider the role of an MRI Technologist on a flexible, as-needed basis (PRN). We provide additional compensation for weekend and evening shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI technologist will:

  • Conduct a range of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and associated techniques, generating images for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in a secure environment, adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the imaging center team, actively seeking and providing feedback to enhance clinical practices.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

  • Must possess at least an Associate's Degree in Radiology or have completed an accredited two-year radiology program.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration. Additionally, an MR advanced registration through ARRT is required within the first year of employment. Compliance with state licensure requirements is also necessary. BLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols.
  • Expertise in operating MRI machinery and relevant ancillary equipment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capable of accurate and concise documentation.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with computer applications, including information and billing systems, data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
