Overview:
Outpatient Imaging Affiliates is in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate professional with excellent communication skills to become part of our dynamic, patient-centered team. If you are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and enjoy engaging with individuals, this role as an MRI Technologist offers a flexible schedule to meet operational needs (PRN). We provide additional compensation for weekend and evening shifts.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Radiology Medical Director, the MRI technologist is responsible for:
- Conducting a range of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and associated techniques, generating images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
- Ensuring that all services are delivered in a secure environment, adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with the imaging center team to seek and provide constructive feedback aimed at enhancing clinical practices.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program is required.
Candidates must hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration. Additionally, an MR advanced registration through ARRT is required within the first year of employment. Compliance with state licensure requirements is also necessary. BLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient knowledge of standard to advanced MRI procedures and protocols.
- Expertise in operating MRI equipment and related ancillary devices.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Competence in accurate and concise documentation.
- Understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including information management and billing systems, data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
