Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patients, addressing their psychosocial, physical, and general needs in a surgical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patients, addressing their psychosocial, physical, and general needs in a surgical environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgeon and anesthesiologist/anesthetist about patient condition.
  • Assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
  • Assess the operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies for individual cases, and ensure all appropriate needs of the surgical operating team are met.
  • Monitor, position, and assist patients during procedures.
Qualifications
  • At least one to two years of nursing experience.
  • Expertise in Operating Room and PACU preferred.
  • Maintains a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS/CPR required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
  • ACLS, PALS, TNCC required within six months of employment.
Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
