Role Overview
The Healthcare Product Strategist plays a pivotal role in articulating the value propositions of GEHA's healthcare offerings. This individual acts as the primary advocate for GEHA's product lines, ensuring a balance between customer needs, business objectives, and development team capabilities. Responsibilities include defining the product roadmap and overseeing the product development lifecycle from inception to launch and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate compelling value propositions for GEHA's healthcare product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the expectations of federal employees and retirees.
- Engage with customers to gather insights for ongoing product enhancement and differentiation, supporting market expansion initiatives.
- Effectively communicate with senior management to align on customer needs, driving product adoption and growth through presentations and collaborative efforts.
- Lead product ideation, design, and development processes, establishing strategic relationships to enhance product value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Actuarial, Finance, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure successful product launches and performance.
- Conduct continuous market analysis to differentiate GEHA's offerings, leveraging insights to guide product improvements.
- Mentor team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adherence to best practices in product strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within a collaborative environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business leaders to execute strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of utilizing data insights for strategic decision-making.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions.
- Innovative mindset with a history of enhancing product-market fit through strategic initiatives.
- Ability to work independently, managing projects with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in visual communication tools to represent business concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dental healthcare regulations and knowledge of payer industry trends.
- Comprehensive understanding of product management and lifecycle processes.
- Direct experience in bringing products from concept to market readiness.
