About the Role

BURNCO LLC is seeking a skilled Mixer Driver to join our team at the Kiowa Plant. As a Mixer Driver, you will be responsible for operating a ready-mix truck in urban areas and tight construction sites, ensuring the safe transportation of concrete products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a ready-mix truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment at the plant and surrounding areas.
  • Understand and implement our company's safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Drive and maintain a clean and well-maintained truck, adhering to our company's standards.
Requirements
  • Class B CDL (with air brake endorsement)
  • Clean Driver's abstract and record
  • Concrete mixer truck experience is considered an asset
  • Understanding of the concrete products and their applications
  • Standard or manual transmission experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and be available on short notice
  • Successfully pass our pre-employment testing
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Working in various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, and exposure to rain and snow.
  • Constantly using eye-hand coordination and near/far vision.
  • Frequently standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 50 lbs, and utilizing manual dexterity, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, color discernment, and active hearing/listening.
  • Exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, and aggregate materials.
  • Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats.
