Position Overview

Tact Staff is actively seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the Emergency Department (ED) for an exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

The RN will primarily engage in direct patient care, demonstrating proficient clinical skills. Responsibilities include triaging patients, gathering patient history and vital signs, and conducting thorough assessments. The nurse will act autonomously to provide immediate care in critical situations when a physician is unavailable.

Key duties include:

  • Delivering care to both acutely ill and stable patients.
  • Performing a variety of procedures utilizing both advanced and basic nursing skills.
  • Assisting physicians during procedures.
  • Providing emotional and physical support to patients, families, and visitors.
  • Offering discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and their families.
  • Managing ambulance communications and directing pre-hospital care as necessary.
  • Utilizing sophisticated medical equipment in a high-pressure environment.

Facility Specific Requirement: Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this position.

Submission Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Current skills checklist, updated within the last year, specific to the specialty.
  • Two supervisory reference forms, completed within the past two years.
  • Active Michigan nursing license and certifications (BLS, ACLS - AHA).
  • Permanent address verification (local candidates are not considered).
