Clinical Technician 1

At Inova Health System, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Technician 1 to join our Inpatient Rehab Unit team.
Job SummaryThe Clinical Technician 1 will assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to implement the plan of care and meet individualized patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Provide basic activities of daily living nursing care, such as bathing and feeding, and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
- Demonstrate competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
- Complete assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately and reinforce discharge teaching and home care skills.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
- Partner with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up-to-date patient care.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to attend a 6-week training course.
