{"Job Title": "Clinical Technician 1", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Clinical Technician 1 to join our team at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. As a Clinical Technician 1, you will play a vital role in delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with basic activities of daily living, such as bathing and feeding, as well as measuring vital signs and intake/output. You will also be responsible for completing assigned patient duties within the established time frame and demonstrating knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
* Provide basic activities of daily living nursing care (e.g. bathing and feeding) and measurement of vital signs and intake/output.
* Demonstrate competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
* Complete assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
* Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
* Complete necessary documentation accurately and reinforce discharge teaching and home care skills.
* Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
* Partner with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up-to-date patient care.

**Requirements:**

* Healthcare experience preferred.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
* Ability to attend a 6-week training course.

**Schedule:**

* 12-hour day shifts.
* Three 12-hour shifts; days vary.

**Training:**

* Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6-week training course.
