Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Psych Tech I to join our team at Peninsula, a Division of Parkwest Medical Center. As a Psych Tech I, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and maintaining a safe and therapeutic patient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proper supervision and guidance to patients in daily activities as part of a patient care team.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment, reporting any concerns or issues to the Registered Nurse.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and document patient care in a competent manner.
  • Implement emergency policies and procedures, ensuring emergency restrictive devices are available and in good working order.
  • Participate in training and orientation of new staff members, facilitating patient care goals and monitoring patient activities.
  • Monitor vital signs, collect urine specimens, and assist patients with activities of daily living under the clinical direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Serve as an extension of Clinical Services/Physical Therapy departments to deliver therapeutic activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow with our team is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional image at all times.
