Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to provide essential medical services at our facility. This role is pivotal in maintaining the health and well-being of our inmates through effective healthcare delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner
- Valid Nurse Practitioner License
- Current BLS Certification from an accredited organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services tailored to the inmate population.
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, including patient histories and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Formulate and implement treatment plans, prescribing medications as per institutional guidelines.
- Manage acute injuries and medical emergencies effectively.
- Document patient progress and coordinate necessary referrals for specialized care.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to enhance patient care strategies and protocols.
- Evaluate and address health conditions, ensuring appropriate healthcare delivery.
- Supervise the daily operations of the clinic, including managing patient consultations and evaluations.
- Provide emergency medical services in the absence of a supervising physician.
