Job Summary

Loma Linda University Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Outpatient Psychotherapist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Medicine Center, you will provide advanced clinical services to patients, participate in case management and discharge planning, and intervene in high-risk situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Participate in case management and discharge planning to ensure seamless patient care
  • Intervene in high-risk situations, utilizing crisis intervention skills to de-escalate conflicts
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, collateral contacts, and community agencies to deliver high-quality patient care services
  • Provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed staff, working within the scope of designated state license
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or a related field
  • Current BBS license
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health care setting
  • Preferred: experience in an acute psychiatric facility with age-specific population
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy theory and techniques
  • Able to identify the need for supervision and consultation, utilize such appropriately, and accept direction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure
