About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Aperion Care DeKalb. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional resident care and support in all activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with serving meals and feeding, providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
  • Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, as well as assistance with travel to the bathroom and showers.
  • Ambulate, turn, and position residents with care and attention to their needs.
  • Monitor resident stability by checking vital signs and weight, recording intake and output information.
  • Ensure resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials, answering call lights and requests, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Protect resident privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with professional standards, company policies, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly, as well as lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication is also required.
