Job Overview

Scion Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This role is vital to ensuring smooth daily operations in our healthcare department by managing patient schedules, maintaining medical records, and handling various administrative tasks.

Estimated Salary: $46,000 - $52,000 per year

Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient schedules and appointments for healthcare professionals in your department, ensuring timely coordination between physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Handle patient intake by assisting with forms, registration, and collecting relevant information accurately.
  • Maintain medical records in compliance with privacy laws and hospital protocols, ensuring files are updated and accessible when needed.
  • Coordinate communication between departments, doctors, patients, and external organizations to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence related to patient care or internal operations, including emails, phone calls, memos, and reports.
  • Assist with inventory and supplies management to ensure your department has the necessary materials.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting in an administrative support role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Proficiency with office software and electronic healthcare record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills to track and schedule appointments efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
