Staff Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at The Baer Group. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable: Process EFT/ACH and manual remittance deposits, reconcile batches, and manage AR past due for US and international vendors/clients.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage AP processing weekly, interface with external customers to resolve open items, and perform account reconciliation.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in creating timely and accurate financial statements, reconcile financial data, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and financial controls.
  • General Ledger Accounting: Perform general ledger accounting functions, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Local to Atlanta required.
