As a Senior Industrial Engineer at Americold Logistics, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering and project support across our various facilities. Your expertise will drive labor enhancements through the establishment of engineered labor standards, performance incentive programs, cost-benefit analyses, workflow assessments, asset utilization strategies, and scheduling optimization. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior engineers within the regional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance productivity and minimize operational costs.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives, creating detailed project scopes, specifications, and estimates as necessary.
- Oversee the execution of labor initiatives within the Americold Operating System, ensuring the accurate application of performance incentives and effective use of workforce management systems.
- Educate operational teams on labor management practices and relevant systems.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related field such as Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Logistics is mandatory.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven skills in Continuous Improvement and project management are essential.
- Familiarity with RF Scanning and Warehouse Management Systems is required.
- This position requires extensive travel, with the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Experience in the distribution, warehouse, or logistics sectors is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Labor Management Systems (LMS) such as Red Prairie, Korber, P2, HighJump, or Cloverleaf is preferred.
- Experience in providing engineering support across multiple sites and leading multi-site engineering projects is beneficial.
- Experience with automation technologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical capabilities are essential.
