Key Responsibilities- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and efficient care.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as needed.
- Follow orders from physicians regarding imaging procedures and ensure that images are accurate and passed on for medical interpretation.
- Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment to ensure optimal results.
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure by taking appropriate protection precautions.
- Calibrate imaging equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Prepare results for physician review and maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system to manage patient data and imaging results.
- 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT National certification.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- ARRT (R) certification.
- BLS certification.
- 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
