Job Summary

The Radiologic Technician Limited plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in a Physician Office and Clinic Settings. Under general direction, this individual performs Diagnostic Imaging procedures on a limited basis, ensuring that patients are relaxed and at ease during the exam. The technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and provide care while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform exams in designated areas, including skull, chest, spine, extremities, chiropractic, podiatry, and cardiovascular, upon demonstration of competencies to a Radiologist/Clinician.
  • Identify patient service requirements by utilizing AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure correct exam performance and establish personal rapport.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and operating equipment.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques and using beam restrictive devices.
  • Document pregnancy status of female patients and shielding precautions taken during imaging studies.
  • Ensure operation of Radiology equipment by performing quality checks and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, and expediting orders.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited Program.
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) with specialties in Chest, Extremities, Skull, and Spine.
  • BLS Certificate.
