Job Title: Workers' Compensation Defense Legal Assistant

At S4 Search Partners LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workers' Compensation Defense Legal Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in the defense of workers' compensation cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high volume of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution, working closely with attorneys to ensure deadlines are met and case progress is maintained.
  • Conduct client interviews to gather key information, explain case developments, and answer any questions in both English and Spanish.
  • Prepare legal documents, including motions, forms, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Assist with hearing, deposition, and trial preparation, organizing all necessary exhibits, witness lists, and documents.
  • Handle medical records requests and subpoenas, coordinating with healthcare providers to obtain relevant documentation.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, with regular updates in our case management system.
  • Assist attorneys with legal research and other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience in workers' compensation law and a proven ability to handle a heavy caseload.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, with fluency in written and spoken Spanish, and the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in managing documents and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with a client-focused approach to delivering quality service.
  • A collaborative and positive attitude, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
