Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Intern to join our team at Parkhurst Dining. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on our campus community.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our management team to identify opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint and improve our sustainability practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce food waste and increase the use of compostable packaging.
- Work with our social media team to promote our sustainability initiatives and engage with our campus community.
- Assist with planning and executing local and sustainable luncheons or dinners as part of our commitment to sustainable development goals.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
