Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers warmly, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Accurately process transactions using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
  • Assist in pricing and labeling products as necessary.
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding garden center offerings, including plants and tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with management.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies or operational issues to management.
  • Follow cash handling policies to reduce losses.
  • Stay informed about current promotions and events in the garden center.
  • Adhere to company policies while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks to uphold company standards.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stock and organize merchandise, including lifting items up to 45 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
  • Must be capable of performing tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Dependability, integrity, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized workspace.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is preferred.
