Key Responsibilities:- Receive and accession specimens into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
- Unpack and route specimens to various staging areas
- Prepare specimens for testing by performing tasks such as centrifugation, labeling, and logging
- Identify and accurately label specimens for distribution to testing areas
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed, including data entry and inventory management
- Organize and maintain laboratory specimen storage and supplies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry and laboratory settings preferred
- Medical background or experience with laboratory testing terminology an asset
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills
