Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at GTT, LLC. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for receiving and accessioning specimens into the LIMS system, unpacking specimens, and routing them to various staging areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately receive and accession specimens into the LIMS system
  • Unpack and route specimens to various staging areas
  • Prepare specimens for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations
  • Organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, and logging specimens
  • Participate in all applicable safety training sessions and follow safety protocols
  • Identify and accurately label specimens and distribute them to the appropriate testing area
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry
  • Medical background or experience with laboratory testing terminology
  • Able to work productively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work within a Windows environment
