Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Cardiothoracic ICU setting. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
  • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
  • Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs through educational programs.
  • Utilize patient education materials relevant to the patient population.
  • Evaluate patient care and identify expected patient outcomes.
  • Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
  • Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex issues.
  • Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
  • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs.
  • Develop goals for professional growth or minimize limitations with assistance.
  • Participate in the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
  • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families.
  • Collaborate on care plans with patients and families, using available resources.
  • Participate in intra/interdepartmental collaboration and promote cost-effective care.
  • Engage in research by reading applicable studies or articles.

This role involves close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and support.
