The Superintendent III plays a pivotal role in overseeing a project's construction operations to ensure adherence to specifications, while also delivering the project within the established budget and timeline. This position involves managing projects that range from complex to highly intricate. The Superintendent III is expected to coordinate, plan, and supervise craft superintendents, contractors, and/or craft activities on-site. The individual should be capable of managing discipline-specific scopes of work valued between $2MM and $10MM with minimal guidance from senior field leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage construction activities to meet project specifications, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Handle projects of varying complexity, from complex to highly complex.
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise craft superintendents and contractors effectively.
- Manage discipline-specific scopes of work valued between $2MM and $10MM with limited oversight.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- A collaborative team player with proven leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated success in managing construction scopes for mid to large-scale projects.
- Experience in Design/Build projects is advantageous.
- Ability to comprehend project specifications thoroughly and identify field deviations.
- Exceptional planning skills, particularly in relation to Lean Tools for scheduling, constructability, and sequencing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with mobile devices and project management software, with a preference for experience in PlanGrid.
- Familiarity with mobile applications and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tools is a plus.
- Expertise in specific disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Piping/Plumbing.
