You will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to gain confidence and cooperation through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to gain confidence and cooperation.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • Assist with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in speech pathology from an accredited program.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
  • SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities, complete work duties within expected timelines, and meet requirements.
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.

Compensation takes into account several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
