About the Position:

The Fortune School of Education is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering comprehensive speech therapy modalities to patients with speech, voice, language, cognitive-communicative, and oral-pharyngeal swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
  • Work with individuals who want to improve their communication skills, such as accent modification or other forms of communication enhancement.
  • Assess and treat individuals with speech and language disorders, including cognitive-communication disorders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an education environment, preferably in speech and language pathology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing.

Working Conditions:

  • Hearing and speaking to conduct group training, exchange information in person electronically and over the telephone.
  • Ability to read printed material and computer screens. Ability to understand speech at normal levels.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

Salary: $83,000 - $116,000 per year.
