We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Observation Internal Medicine team at Ahuja Medical Center.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and experience in managing inpatient and observation patients. This is a 12-hour shift position, rotating between day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and assign diagnoses based on recorded data and current scientific research.
- Establish and implement care plans, adhering to care paths, protocols, and standards of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Contribute to staff education and professional development.
- Provide education through role modeling and in-services.
- Advance professional development through self-directed learning and continuing education.
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated competence as a practitioner.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Nurse Practitioner: Doctorate or Master's degree in Nursing with clinical practice emphasis, or Physician Assistant: completion of a formal training program with NCCPA certification.
- Current licensure and certification as required.
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
