The Role

The Senior Information Security Advisor plays a pivotal role in delivering high-level information security consulting services in both a technological and advisory capacity to our clients.

This position requires an operational security mindset, exceptional client interaction abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of various information security subjects.


Main Responsibilities
  • Possess advanced expertise in the information security domain, managing program-level initiatives with minimal supervision, while mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Exhibit proficiency in business communication, delivering technical and executive presentations, and articulating complex information security topics clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Independently identify and resolve program-level challenges, develop and implement strategic enhancement plans, and provide leadership to team members.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of information security controls, continuously improve content and related procedures, and identify new business opportunities within the security consulting service offerings.
  • Collaborate with essential security contacts within Lumen to support the design of security consulting services.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, comprehend requirement nuances, and translate client needs into targeted deliverables.
  • Create standardized templates for deliverables, statements of work, pricing, and sales presentations.
  • Develop high-quality security consulting service products.
  • Analyze broad trends in the IT security landscape and propose recommendations that address evolving client needs.

Candidate Profile
Engage in both individual and team-based client interactions to meet Lumen's delivery expectations.

  • Deliver Security Advisory Services for assessment opportunities.
  • Develop reusable security services and assets.
  • Collaborate with practice leads, sales teams, and business units to relay client feedback for security productized services.
  • Demonstrate the ability to integrate various stakeholders during solution development for seamless service delivery.
  • Exhibit domain leadership across diverse security technologies and service offerings.
  • Showcase knowledge of comprehensive information security strategies, standards, processes, and tools essential for security solution design.
  • Provide technical security and advisory leadership for clients, sales teams, and fellow consultants.
  • Possess 5-10 years of experience in information security, with 5-7 years in consulting.
  • Understand security tasks related to networking and security platforms in corporate IT environments.
  • Have working knowledge in areas such as SASE services, Zero Trust Networking, Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Security Access Broker, Software Defined Wide Area Networking, Security Strategy and Architecture consulting, and Data Protection.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science with a focus on Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
  • Hold at least two industry-recognized certifications related to security consulting services.
  • Experience in a Tier 1 consulting firm is advantageous.

Compensation
The salary for this position varies based on the employee's primary work location and individual qualifications.
