Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Yoga Instructor to join our afterschool initiative. This role presents an exciting opportunity to merge your enthusiasm for teaching with the chance to engage with students from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. We value individuals who can cultivate language skills, cultural appreciation, and a passion for learning in our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enthusiastically engage and inspire students during Yoga sessions and transitions.
  • Collaborate with staff to monitor student development and behavioral standards.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding student progress and program-related issues.
  • Utilize digital platforms for administrative duties such as attendance tracking and incident reporting.
  • Ensure the organization of Yoga materials and supplies for students.
  • Create a lively, inclusive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere by consistently demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic teaching approach.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to clearly articulate rules and expectations to children is crucial.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are highly valued.
  • Professionalism and motivation are expected.
  • A polished and professional appearance is appreciated.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team in an educational setting is important.

Schedule:

  • Part-time availability on Thursdays.
  • Afternoon hours with sessions divided into two parts.
  • Commitment for the entire school year is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program.

  • Yoga Certification or related experience is preferred.
  • At least one year of teaching experience with elementary-level students is preferred.
  • Strong foundation in Yoga and familiarity with teaching children is preferred.
