Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team at New York Kids Club & NY Preschool. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for leading our preschool and enrichment classes, ensuring the health and safety of our students, and supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead preschool and enrichment classes using our unique and creative curriculum to bring learning to life
  • Ensure each student's health and safety at all times through close supervision and adherence to our daily protocols
  • Support each student in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth by learning through play in a positive and caring way
  • Engage daily with parents and caregivers, sharing your classroom's day-to-day activities and developmental milestones

Requirements:

  • Hold 1-2 years of lead teaching experience in an early childhood classroom or Pre-k, Kindergarten, or grades 1-2
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or related field with New York State Early Childhood Initial or Permanent Certification in N-6 or B-2 OR be on a Study Plan OR be working toward gaining a Master's Degree in early childhood or child development with New York State Initial or Permanent Early Childhood Certification in N-6 or B-2

Physical Demands:

The role involves standing, walking, sitting, constant movement, and occasional climbing. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
