Job Description

As a key member of the Global Workforce Operations team at Avery Dennison, the Payroll & Process Specialist plays a critical role in executing payroll, data, and reporting services. This position requires a deep understanding of relevant systems, processes, and policies, with a focus on data integrity and analysis to inform key HR decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute day-to-day payroll tasks, collaborating closely with outsourced payroll partners to ensure quality inputs and outputs.
  • Support local HR, managers, and employees with payroll and HR processes, providing expert guidance and resolution to routine issues.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and simplification with external partners and businesses, increasing productivity and compliance.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate and timely payments, including salaries, statutory, and third-party payments.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and quality to ensure compliance with relevant legal and company policy requirements.
  • Develop effective collaborations through strong interpersonal skills and proactive communication, providing ad-hoc operational support for assigned processes.
  • Ensure efficiency of technology in supporting employee transaction processes, handling internal and external audit work, and maintaining compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
  • Deliver payroll and associated processes accurately and on time, every time.
Qualifications:
  • Degree from a relevant field of study or equivalent knowledge or experience in HR/payroll (3-5 years); experience with payroll processing in multi-state preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrable ability to organize and analyze data.
  • Maintains confidentiality and applies discretion where required.
  • Service-oriented and passionate about improving the employee experience.
