Job Title: JBoss Administrator I

At ASM Research, we are seeking a highly skilled JBoss Administrator I to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the integrity and governance of our system/software solution, including best practices for delivering services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, deploy, and support infrastructures, applications, software solutions, and technology initiatives from an architectural and operational perspective in conjunction with existing standards and methods of delivery.
  • Support technical escalation of L3/advanced issues for problem resolution.
  • Install, support, and maintain JBoss and Apache servers or other middleware technologies, such as monitoring agents or MQ instances.
  • Plan for and respond to service outages and other issues that may occur within non-production and production environments.
  • Perform periodic scripting of systems throughout the life of the project.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in information technology with middleware systems.
  • Beginner knowledge with installation of JBoss and Apache installations.
  • Beginner knowledge of Ansible playbook development.
  • Beginner experience with bitbucket for version control.
  • Beginner experience with JVM deployment, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Beginner experience with SSL/TLS setup and troubleshooting.
  • Beginner Linux administration skills.
  • Beginner knowledge of yaml and bash scripting.
  • Worked with APM agent or other monitoring agent installation and usage.
  • Supported patching, maintenance, and related troubleshooting activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Beginner skills with troubleshooting MQ or other messaging services.
  • Intermediate understanding of navigating Splunk.
  • Beginner knowledge of EC2/EKS or AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration.
  • CompTIA Linux +.
