Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by cutting, staining, and mounting slides.
  • Operate microscopes and other laboratory equipment to examine tissue samples and identify abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of laboratory results and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved program in Histotechnology.
  • Minimum one year's experience as a Histotechnologist in a hospital setting.
  • Valid licensure as a Histotechnologist in the state of Florida.
  • Certification by a national regulatory agency (ASCP) preferred.
